Miracle cat Survives Shot in Head with Arrow

An orange tabby named Brownie was shot in the head with an arrow and amazingly survived.
The 13-inch arrow only pierced the kitty’s muscle, avoiding his skull and eyes – and a vet in rural Indiana was able to remove it.
“He’s just a miracle cat,” said Sarah Hayes , chief executive of theMonroe Country Humane Association.
“He was just purring and rubbing up against people, even with the arrow in his head,” Hayes said.
“He’s a loving, sweet, sweet cat.”
Brownie had been missing for three days when his owner Dillon Eads saw him come up over a hill Aug. 28 with the arrow in his head.
Eads, 83, called police right away.
He suspects that someone was cruelly using his beloved pet for target practice.
“I never felt so sorry for anything in my life. It just broke my heart,” he tearfully told local television stations.
The humane association is offering a $1,450 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person who hurt Brownie.
The good-natured feline, which even loves dogs, is healing well and will be reunited with Eads next week, Hayes said.
He has eight lives left, anyway.

People who do these things should be euthanized.. with bow and arrow.. or with a dull blade.
Glad to hear your cat is doing well, ours was shot with an air gun in may and has lost the use of his back legs, we are hoping for a recovery but well! we will see , what sort of sad sick person dose these thing to defensless pets..
Why would people cause harm to animals in this way. Its not right its very much injustice. No living been should suffer their life to live on earth to possible be shot in the head with an arrow. That poor cat could have died instantly and for him to survive God is telling people who abuse animals that cruelty has to come to an END! -Nicole

Have they caught the culprit yet? Seriously, what kind of people fire an arrow to a cat?
House cats kill more native wildlife, some of it endangered, in a given month than a good sized oil spill. If you actually care about animals and biodiversity, keep you cats indoors.
i’m with Teej! I totally agree with you. 100%! Anyone who hurts a defensless animal SHOULD be Shot in the Head too. Maybe they won’t be as fortunate to survive like this miracle cat was able to do. I hate it when humans hurt animals for their own sick pleasure. I’m not a violent person. but I believe anyone who hurts an animal in such a way, should be shot too. Buh By Jerk! I’m happy Brownie is ok. Thank You God for keeping him safe.
