Didn’t you get the memo that some e-mails were leaked and a bunch of documents showing the fraud involved with this global warming scam? The leaked E-mails were verified by the authors as authentic.
AND polar bears have been known to swim up to 100 miles a day and relocating thousands of miles to better hunting grounds.
The cats out of the bag……..sites like this will fade away. The Copenhagen treaty won’t go through and the constitution will stay intact dispite the efforts of the global criminal like Gore. Listen to Lord Monkton’s views that I agree with 100%.

Heather, you cracked me up “This is stupid, everyone knows Polar bears only drink Coca-Cola.” hahahaha
This is a pretty cute photo, I love how the Polar Bear has his arm all stretched out to take it from a safe distance (so the man thinks anyway) this is just great!
Harpster, you kinda sound a bit nutty there… this picture isn’t about Global Warming… its a vintage polar bear pic… thats it.

You know, Harpster, one of the reasons thinking people pull back from the Republicans point of view is the cult-like extremism they display and their obnoxious need to push their agenda, even if it isn’t subject appropriate and no one has asked for it.
Politics aside, did you like the photo or not? Personally, I think it’s remarkable that man is able to be that close to a wild animal and find a way to peacefully communicate with it.
theory said on November 29th, 2009 , 11:24 pm
well harpster, the problem is as you suggested not that polar bears will drown, that’s certain they are damn good swimmers. However the bears need ice, which is melting to hunt their staple, seals. As ice melts (whether because it’s of a shift away from the ice age or climate change). the seals move to a shore based on stone and earth instead, thus the bear’s natural camaflauge is no longer of use and in order to survive they are going to have to change diet. Maybe they can eat the uninformed, (the ignorant). No matter what happens life on this planet is going to do what it’s always done and that is adapt. there were four times as many species during the jurassic age as there are now, (so far as baseless speculation I’ve heard goes). things die off and what’s left makes new and rapidly changing versions to replace the hole within the food chain. someday the human hole
An Educated Citizen said on November 30th, 2009 , 12:56 am
Harpster, I hope for your sake that you realize that you are completely wrong. As easy as it would be to dismiss global warming and man’s tie to it, an educated person or society cannot. I am pursuing a doctoral degree in Geography at the University of Texas with a specialization in Natural Climatological Patterns. The evidence behind global warming is indisputable and there is little doubt that carbon dioxide equivalent in the atmosphere is increasing in the atmosphere. And there is little doubt that human beings are responsible for the majority of that increased co2 equivalent. Thus, a reasonable and educated human being would be able to tie together these two pieces of information: mankind is responsible for a large portion of the warming seen in the world today and the warming that is to be seen in the future. So if your going to just say what they said on conservative media outlets at least try to provide a little bit of evidence behind your accusation. Because regardless of whatever “conspiracy” there is, the science is indisputable. Cheers, An Educated Citizen
nzuckerman said on November 30th, 2009 , 2:38 pm
Not so fast: memos hacked and selectively posted…most science still maintain we are in climate trouble. Ask the polar bears about it and check melting ice…nah, believe we can simply keep screwing up the earth and go your way.

Harpster, you’re an idiot. THis has nothing to do with that AT ALL.
flintmonster said on November 30th, 2009 , 5:22 pm
This is fake. All polar bears are left handed
robin said on November 30th, 2009 , 7:01 pm
harpster, obviously you are very angry, cynical person. these “global criminals” as you call them are only trying to get the population to WAKE UP and to find new ways to make our Earth sustainable so we, and our children, can continue to live upon it. Polar bears can only swim up to 60 miles without drowning and that’s only when there are ice flows to support it. there are expansions of arctic ocean now where you can be hundreds of miles away from ice and land when, 40 years ago, ice shelves were much much closer. there is no question that global warming is occurring, the one controversy is over whether humans have anything to do with it or not. (by the way, they do!)
and by the way, no one is trying to change your precious constitution so I would try throwing that argument out so you don’t make yourself sound stupid again.

Mike Norton said on December 1st, 2009 , 3:13 am
In response to Harpster who is claiming the cats out of the bag due to the leaked emails about faked science in support of Global Warming. You say the Copenhagen treaty will not go thru… I seriously doubt that it will not. It feels like the world is under siege – supposedly free societies are cutting off dissent .. Al Gore: “The debate is over”, Obama: “The debate is over”. It doesn’t matter what the real science is – this GW thing is going to keep on marching forward and we will all pay for it with our taxes so the elite can have an excuse to grab that money and further control us. Once they control the resources and the health care whats left? The US was once a free nation – no more. Its done. And for those that side with the statement “the debate is over” please let me respectfully ask you to consider the 30,000 plus scentists that have signed a petition opposing the science that is now being seen to have been tampered with. The debate is not over — only the freedom to debate is over.

Andrew said on December 2nd, 2009 , 2:51 pm
Stfu Harpster. This photo has nothing to do with some global warming conspiracy. It’s a photo of some guy brave enough to give some milk to a bear who was humble enough not to attack him out of protection and/or food for her cubs.
ureamoron said on December 3rd, 2009 , 7:00 pm
So Harpster, your crusade against people who believe in anthropogenic global warming is justtified by “a memo”.
erm…
The authors have verified the emails were theirs – but ALSO stated that the information was taken out of context and misunderstood (even twisted in my opinion) by those who do not want to admit that global warming is created by human activity.
Please.. if you want to justify yourself with a memo… spare the rest of us the lecture. Especially those who have spent a lifetime dedicated to learning, research and analysis, in our attempt to make this a better world for future generations.

A physicist said on December 3rd, 2009 , 11:20 pm
HARPSTER: Anyones ‘views’ are irrelevant to scientific fact which states global warming happens. Why can’t you just enjoy a picture of polar bears without bringing up how anti-global warming you are?
Its really simple really: Some gasses hold in heat better than others. If you fill the earth’s atmosphere with gasses that hold in heat you change the climate. There’s no ‘point of view’, no ‘leaked email’, no ’scandal’ about it. That’s just the way the physics works out. If you believe airplanes fly then you believe in global warming. The saying ‘don’t shit where you eat’ comes to mind. You didn’t really think you could burn millions of barrels of oil per day and have 0 impact on ‘god’s green earth’ did you, cowboy? We have photos over decades which show a shrinking ice shelf.
You, sir, are an ignorant person. I should hope that I never speak so wholly and fanatically about things I know nothing about.

“Didn’t you get the memo that some e-mails were leaked and a bunch of documents showing the fraud involved with this global warming scam?”
I´ve read some. No sight of scam. Let see, the temps are still high, 2008 was the 7-10th warmest year since 1880. The sun activity is on the slow spot, there is no El Ninjo, but still pretty warm winter. So why when everything that I´ve heard the so-called sceptic say are the reason for global warming are on the lowest spot it isent colder? 2010-2013 willl be the next heat wave. Probably more warmer that the last record 1998-1999 since 1880. The sun acitivity is on the higest peak, there is La Nina going on and then the “unkonw” factor that is probably the influence what humans are causing.
But you can keep your party. I hope you are right, I´m not very excitited if the global warming that is caused by human influence is true. I hope it´s not.
Even if the enviroment changes radicaly it wont probaply mean that all the life will die. But It can mean that the life of the people, will be mutch more difficult.
Fist species that benefit from the warming are plant diseases, like fungi etc., bacteria, viruses and pest.

Ok, I think this is what Haprster is talking about… for those of you who didn’t already know, NASA scientists for whatever reason have been caught red handed of doctoring the average global temperature readings since at least the year 2000 (http://news.mongabay.com/2007/0817-nasa_snafu.html) Check this site out before you flame, while it states that the actual numbers do indicate an increasing trend with a more gradual slope, they believe that the earth is still slowly getting warmer and im talking tenths and hundredths of a degree every 10 years. Don’t believe everything you hear people, do some research for yourself and maybe you will be the next person to uncover some doctoring of numbers.
As far as this picture is concerned… It is awe inspiring… I wonder what this man had to do to gain this mothers trust and allow him to come into her territory.
and since this article is about polar bears i will post this link to maybe shake up your world for all of you who believe that the receding ice caps are diminishing their numbers

Chip Giller said it best…
“The Way I See It
So-called “global warming” is just a secret ploy by wacko tree-huggers to make America energy independent, clean our air and water, improve the fuel efficiency of our vehicles, kick-start 21st-century industries, and make our cities safer and more livable.
Don’t let them get away with it!”

Last time I checked, women need men to have babies too. Male polar bears to help out with the cub raising for… about a year, if I recall correctly, maybe longer.

Someone already stole my line, but Harpster, you are an idiot. In other news, I love this photo. It really is amazing that momma bear isn’t tearing that dude limb fom limb for being near the cubs.

@Isis:
Maybe the one who posted this is/was used to speaking a language that doesn’t guarantee grammatical gender to equal sex. The word for “bear” is always grammatically male in languages like Russian (медвед) or German (der Bär), and refering to it as “she” without properly introducing the reader to its sex would be just ambiguous. I don’t say this holds true for English (because it does not), I’m just pointing out that you’re either paranoid or culturally ignorant (newsflash: the “civilized world” is not restricted to English-speaking regions).

Global Warming or Global Climate Change is a real process. It has been going on for basically all of the earths life. Humans are increasing this with the burning of fossil fuels and depletion of forests that store carbon dioxide. The emails that were in the news were dumb scientists trying to embellish the facts to make it seem more “dangerous” than it already is. The emails do not prove that global climate change is fictional.

Harpster, they are a virulent bunch, getting all frantic when a conservative has an opinion and voices it. Wow, attacks come: not just on the ideas you express, but then the obligatory personal affronts – a sign of where their character truly can be found. Just think if names were switched to “protect the innocent”, how absolutely PC incorrect they’d be. But noooooooo. I’m just saying this to state that I think your position has merit to anyone with a bit of critical thinking left; and to remind you that there are plenty of us who hear the quality of your thoughts and the courage with which you face those who fear and want to destroy you.

I do not understand HOW the man is giving milk to the polar bear. Is it in a saucer or bowl? It appears to be a can of redbull. How is the polar bear grasping the milk? I prefer seal, fish or reindeer carcass, but am Interested in milk also. Thank you.
Tim said on December 30th, 2009 , 12:22 am
Th female polar bear was found as a cub whose mother had been killed.
This guy raised her and eventually returned her to the wild.
He saw her and her cubs and was pretty sure she would not attack him.
Notice the cub holding on to his leg.
It is obvious they are comfortable in his presence.
